Hey everyone,
It's getting time for the offseason drafts.
1. We're gonna start with a quick free agency draft, beginning on Saturday (Friday night) August 28 at midnight EST. It will be two rounds, and you do not have to participate. If you plan on not participating, kindly let us know beforehand so we don't wait for you. There is a 12 hour limit per pick. Make sure you do not go over the 60 man roster limit during the draft.
You can draft anyone other than player's taken in this year's NHL entry draft and players who were never drafted who do not have an NHL contract (so you can't take some KHL guy who was never drafted who you think will amount to someone one day).
After the draft, free agency will be open.
The waiver order resets every offseason based on the reverse of the previous REGULAR season standings.
Here is the draft order:
New York Jokers
Pittsburgh Penguins
Quebec Ramparts
Castle Rock Rage
Inglewood Jacks
Winnipeg Jets
Seattle Kraken
San Jose Sharks
Helderberg Mountaineers
Vancouver Canucks
Westsyde Wombats
Crease Kings
2. Fantrax Premium payment deadline.
Please make sure to pay for Fantrax Premium by Thursday September 2. If you don't pay by then, we don't want to chase after you so you're gone. To the guys who haven't paid yet are regulars on this site, do not take this as a threat. This is meant to make sure to get the attention of the teams who haven't been around this offseason. We can't chase after them so this will be an easy way to know who's in and who's out.
3. Entry Draft
Provided we don't have to find new owners, the entry draft will begin Saturday September 4 at midnight EST(Friday night). Again, 12 hour time limit, and make sure you don't go over the 25 prospect team limit. You can move prospects to your main roster or release them at any time, but the deadline for doing so for your 2018 draftees will be right before the season begins.
If we need to find new owners, we'll push off the entry draft a bit. I'm less concerned about new owners missing the free agency draft as many don't participate anyways.
